The association of the European ports has introduced own environmental relationship for 2019



Today, in the within of the GreenPort conference that is in development to Oslo, the association of European ports ESPO has introduced own environmental relationship anniversary for 2019 in which it is evidenced that the quality of the continuous air to being the main environmental priority of the European harbour ports of call, continuation from the power consumption. In its relationship the European Sea Ports specific Organisation that the quality of the air has become a determining factor for the public acceptance of the harbour activities.

The third absolute priority of the ports is the climatic change, that it has made own income in the first ten environmental priorities for the first time two years ago. In particular, the specific relationship that currently almost eight European ports on ten take in consideration the climatic changes when they define new infrastructural projects, than 62% of the ports it strengthens the resilience to the climatic changes of existing harbour infrastructures and that 47% have already faced operating challenges due to the climatic changes.

The noise is the fourth of the first ten environmental priorities of the ports continuation from the relationship with the local community, from waste and exhausts produced from the ships to the sixth place and from waste and exhausts produced from the ports to the seventh place. Between the priorities there is also the transparency in the within of the environmental policies of the ports, with 87% of the ports of call that return them notes to the interested parts and with 82% of the ports that them make available publicly on own website. Regarding the services of environmental character to navigation, beyond the half of the ports it offers to the ships to the mooring the supply of electricity from the terrestrial net and 48% of these supply electricity to high voltage. Moreover a third party of the ports offers to the ships the possibility to resupply itself of liquified, combustible natural gas that mainly is supplied by truck (90%) and barges (20%).

The relationship emphasizes at last that 56% of the European ports preview also rates differentiated from the environmental point of view for the ships whose environmental performances I am advanced to those previewed from the norms.
