In recent days to Rome the general manager of the Agency of Customs and the Monopolies, Benedetto Mineo, and the president of the Authority of Harbour System of the Tyrrhenian Sea Northern, Stefano Corsini, a protocol of understanding that previews projects in order to favor the automatization of the procedures of exited income/from crosses harbour and of connected boarding/disembarkation to the import/export of the goods of customs importance, let alone the procedures of payment of the harbour taxes and tracking of the customs state of the goods has undersigned. Mineo and Corsini have convene on the necessity to improve the digitalisation of the ports in the short possible time (within two years) and the agreement engages to realize the participations necessary in order to reach such goal.

The understanding relatively previews also the study and the development of ulterior innovative solutions for the optimization of the logistic chain to the aspects of customs and harbour competence. The progettuali activities will be carried out based on the document of approved of preliminary planning and to the work programme from the parts.

Within twenty days from the subscription of the protocol, that it has lasted triennial, each of the parts it will constitute an own team of project and will name a just referring one, that it will have the task to coordinate the activities of the teams and to monitor the state of advance of the activities and the relative costs.
