The Port System Authority of the Eastern Ligurian Sea
has joined the Observatory as a new member
National Protection of the Sea (ONTM), an independent body that promotes the
enhancement of the sea resource for the benefit of the Country System.
"Joining the ONTM - explained Federica Montaresi,
extraordinary commissioner of the Port Network Authority who has joined the
of the ONTM Strategic Committee - represents for us
an opportunity for comparison and sharing with others
public and private stakeholders to build together a path of
enhancement of the sea resource from every point of view, economic,
environmental, social and cultural in the name of an innovative approach
and synergistic. To be the first Port Authority at national level to join
to the Observatory is a source of pride and strengthens
the link between the Port Authority and other institutions to further
promote projects that can enhance our territory,
while contributing to the enhancement of the entire Cluster
Sea, a strategic asset for our port system and for the
development of the country".
"The adhesion of the Port Authority of the Eastern Ligurian Sea to ONTM -
commented the president of the National Observatory for the Protection of
Mare, Roberto Minerdo - reflects clearly and unequivocally how
the public and private systems must not only but can
collaborate in a synergistic way to face the different challenges that
today await the country: the digitization of the sector, the
sustainable economic development and
defense of the marine environmental ecosystem".
