
The board of directors of the shipping company
ZIM has appointed Chen Lichtenstein as a director
of the Israeli Teva Pharmaceuticals, as a new
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer to replace Eli Glickman
who resigned last April

April 2026). Last year Glickman presented together with A
Rami Ungar a bid to acquire ZIM that had been rejected
by the Board of Directors, which had subsequently
accepted a merger proposal with the German Hapag-Lloyd
(

December 2025,

February 2026).
Lichtenstein's appointment will take effect from the next first
July when he will also join the Board of Directors of the
company. Among the other positions held by the Israeli
Lichtenstein, from 2020 to 2023 he was CFO
of the Syngenta Group, an agricultural technology company, and from 2014 to
2020 Chairman and CEO of Adama Ltd., a company
active in the crop protection segment.
The contract between the shipping company and Lichtenstein will be
subject to the approval of shareholders, as required by the
Israeli Companies Act of 1999.
