
In the last quarter of 2025, Greek ports handled
35.4 million tonnes of cargo, unchanged from
fourth quarter of the previous year. The Statistical Authority
Ellenica announced today that in the period the only traffic
recorded a growth of +1.5% having amounted to
7.3 million tonnes, while international traffic was
fell overall by -0.3% to €16.8 million
of tons at unloading (-0.2%) and 11.3 million tons at loading
(-0,4%). The total traffic of ro-ro loads alone was
almost 2.4 million vehicles (+1.8%), of which 2.2 million in the
domestic traffic (+2.1%) and 161 thousand in foreign traffic
(-2,6%). Passenger traffic was overall
over 6.3 million people (-1.5%), of which 6.1 million in the
national (-1.7%) and 254 thousand internationally (+4.7%).
In the whole of 2025, freight traffic totaled 140.8
million tons, with a decrease of -1.5% on 2024, of which 31.4
million tonnes of domestic traffic (+4.2%) and 109.4 million tonnes
of tons of international traffic (-3.1%) consisting of 65.7
million tonnes at landing (-1.2%) and 43.6 million tonnes
tons on board (-5.8%). The rolling stock alone was equal to
12.8 million vehicles (+1.1%), of which 12.0 million in the
national (+1.3%) and 774 thousand internationally (-2.8%). The
last year there were 41.1 million passengers (+0.4%), of which
39.2 million transported on domestic routes (+0.3%) and 1.9 million
on international ones (+3.3%).
