
The Helvetic group ABB has signed an agreement to buy the Norwegian company of naval automation Høglund AS, operation that will cover the global activities of Høglund, including over 80 employees in Norway, Poland, Romania and China, and which is expected to be completed in the third trimester of this year. Høglund is currently owned by the Eitzen group and will be integrated into the Marine & Ports division of ABB.
Høglund, which in 2025 registered a turnover of almost 30 million euros, offers a modular and scalable integrated automation system that manages automation, monitoring and control activities on board ships. Combining data from motors, energy generators and load systems, it helps improve overall safety, energy efficiency and operational performance. Currently the solution is installed on more than 600 ships.
