
A few days after a significant seizure of drugs in the
port of Livorno
(

August 2026), the financiers of the Provincial Command of Livorno and
the officials of the local Customs and Monopolies Agency have
dealt another blow to drug trafficking by carrying out another
Anti-drug operation in the Labronic airport, seizing 53
kilograms of pure cocaine divided into 45 loaves.
The drug consignment would have yielded crime,
about 20 million euros, was identified in the engine compartment
of a refrigerated container containing fruit embarked on a ship
from Peru. The drug, after being
sampled and analyzed by the laboratory of the local Agency of
Customs and Monopolies, on the orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office of the
Repubblica, will be destroyed at an incinerator.
