The Seadock of the Trieste-based Samer group and the Ancona-based Yachting
Expertise have established Trieste Shipyards Srl, a company
also participated by Friulia, the regional financial company of the Region
Friuli Venezia Giulia, which aims to become excellence and
point of reference in the production, maintenance and storage of
megayacht in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Friulia's entry into the
corporate structure took place through the subscription,
together with the private shareholders, of the total capital increase
equal to 4.3 million euros approved last July.
Trieste Shipyards will operate along the quay of the Port
Industrial of Trieste. Yesterday the company presented to the
Municipality of Trieste the executive project of the new construction site: the
Seadock spaces used in recent years for the construction of the
megayacht for the CNB Scarl shipyard - which in the development program
will continue to use the plant for the construction of
yachts and also takes on the role of commercial partner -
will be subject to expansion and complete renovation.
The project involves the construction in two lots of a
facility adequate in terms of size and technology for the construction and
storage of boats over 30 meters in length,
aiming at the largest segment of the market over 50 meters
and with logistical capabilities that allow you to build
yachts up to 80 meters, a segment increasingly in demand by
owners and yacht management companies.
The construction site that will be built in the spaces of the Seadock is
Designed for complete production, from sheet metal cutting
to the final set-up. The first lot concerns the construction of
a new building leaning against the current one owned by
Seadock: the dedicated area is about 6,000 square meters, on
which will be built the hangar of about 3,000 square meters with a height of
of 25 meters to accommodate the construction of the most
large size and the construction of two boats of about 55
meters simultaneously.
