Japan's shipyards accused of rigging bids for govt repair jobs

Japan's shipbuilders are being investigated on suspicion of rigging bids for government contracts on repair jobs, reports and officials said.
A Board of Audit investigation found the Defence Agency offered more than 100 shiprepair contracts in the 12 months to March 1999, said the daily Asahi Shimbun and Kyodo News agency.
