Il Census and Statistics Department di Hong Kong ha reso noti i dati definitivi del traffico registrato nel porto di Hong Kong nel primo trimestre di quest'anno. Lo scalo asiatico ha movimentato complessivamente 56,1 milioni di tonnellate di merci, con una progressione del 5% rispetto allo stesso periodo del 2005. Le importazioni sono ammontate a 34,9 milioni di tonnellate (+4%), le esportazioni a 21,2 milioni di tonnellate (+5%).
Il traffico dei container è stato pari a 5,4 milioni di teu, in crescita del 5% rispetto al primo trimestre dello scorso anno.
