 Alla fine del 2006 la flotta classificata da American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) ha raggiunto per il terzo anno una consistenza record, attestandosi a 9.838 navi per un totale di 126.494.947 tonnellate di stazza lorda. Nel primo trimestre di quest'anno la flotta ha già superato quota 130 milioni di tsl.
Alla fine dello scorso anno l'orderbook della società statunitense era costituito da 1.746 navi per complessive 28.134.508 tsl. Nel primo trimestre del 2007 al portafoglio si sono aggiunge 12 milioni di tsl.
Nel 2006 sono state poste in classe ABS 567 navi per 7.525.403 tsl.
