Oggi a Bruxelles il convegno che conclude le consultazioni pubbliche sul futuro dei trasporti in Europa

Oggi a Bruxelles la Commissione Europea ospita una conferenza di alto livello sul futuro del sistema di trasporto in Europa che segna la conclusione delle due consultazioni pubbliche avviate lo scorso giugno dalla Commissione con la comunicazione “Un futuro sostenibile per i trasporti” e con il Libro Verde “Rete transeuropea di trasporto: riesame della politica”. La conferenza propone una sintesi dei contributi delle parti interessate e discute le idee concrete che sono emerse durante la consultazione.

La Commissione ha ricordato che il prossimo anno sarà pubblicato un Libro Bianco che definirà una visione per il futuro dei trasporti e le misure specifiche da adottare nei prossimi dieci anni. L'evento di oggi, ospitato dal vicepresidente della Commissione, Antonio Tajani, con il sostegno della presidenza svedese, intende individuare le misure politiche che le parti in causa vorrebbero inserire nel prossimo Libro Bianco sui trasporti relativo al periodo 2010-2020.

I circa 500 partecipanti alla conferenza rappresentano vari settori interessati, fra cui operatori e autorità dei trasporti, autorità nazionali, regionali e locali, esponenti del mondo universitario e associazioni di utenti.
