Today, the Advisory Commission of the port of Savona has expressed unanimous opinion in favor of authorizing to operate pursuant to Art. 16 required by the Maritime Shipping Company Grendi Spa Grendi Tarros new name, a shipping company that handles full loads and industrial for the Sardinia, specializing in feeder traffic, and that previously operated in the area of Ponte Libyan port of Genoa ( of 13 June 2011).
Based on this vote, the president of the Port Authority of Savona, Christopher Canavese, waiting for the Port Committee convened to ratify later this month as agreed in the Advisory Commission, authorize a decree for the immediate operation of the company in the dock of Vado.
Canavese expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the meeting and for the great cohesion that once again the port community has been able to express. "I hope - he added - that this new settlement could be a harbinger of further development of our traffic for the port, as at the time was the arrival of Corsica Ferries to Savona Vado and Costa Cruises' two companies - remember - which also previously had their own base of operations in the Ligurian port of Genoa.
