Introduced in Slovakia new solutions for the intermodal transport



In recent days to Bratislava an organized convention from the Chamber of Commerce has held Italian-Slovak centralized on the new solutions of intermodal transport, solutions that are introduced by the Gefco Slovakia, branch of the logistic group French Gefco that is participated by PSA Peugeot-Citroen Group.

The leaders of Gefco Slovakia have emphasized the will of the company to modernize and to look for new technical solutions of transport, strategy - they have explained - that has carried for example Gefco to implement in its terminals a new system of boarding of the Tir on the trains through revolving special guides who diminish of two third party the operating times and to use massively the railroads through large trains block on five guiding ones: from the French east (Mulhouse/Vesoul) towards Russia, Slovakia (Trnava - Peugeot/Citroën) and Spain, already operating.

The representatives of Gefco Slovakia have evidenced the operating data: for Russia (Kaluga, from Vesoul, 3,000 km) moves a train to the day, with transit Time of three days (included the transfers in Poland) and on board 144 full 44 automobiles or container of automobiles taken apart (SKD). The train for Trnava (from Mulhouse, 1,000 km) transports 38 Tir with transit a Time of 29 hours, able system to resupply the plant that today produces 900 cars to the day.

Other guiding ones are under consideration: a line with destinations for the Asian East, another anchor for Baltic and Central European the zone, third from Slovakia (Trnava) for Italy, passing for Koper (Slovenia), directed then to a center, triage center that - they have specified - could be to Piacenza.

While Gefco has introduced also "GEFCO Special", a service dedicated classified express to the urgent and exceptional transport that has problematic the objective to outside find a fast and flexible solution to urgent deliveries or shape and that it is able to cover via earth all the European territory (comprised Russia) and aerial way the remainder of the world. "The service - Andrea Ponti has explained, in charge of Gefco Special for Italy - has been born in France in 1987 upon request of group PSA, but quickly it is profitable available to all the other customers, for 85% automotive pertaining to the field. It is based on three fundamental pillars: urgency, reliability and flexibility, that we succeed to guarantee thanks to the availability and traceability 24 hours on 24, seven days on seven and with assured times of delivery thanks to the solid international Network of Gefco". Bridges have explained that recently, during strike of the transports to the end of January and the strong ones snowed of February, the service has guaranteed supplying of factories PSA in France with the goods produced and withdrawn near the Italian suppliers of the Lombardy and the Piemonte, using dedicated vans and engines.
