Hapag-Lloyd has archived item 2011 with a net loss of 28,8 million euros

Last year the fleet of portacontainer of Hapag-Lloyd has transported cargo volumes pairs to 5.198.000 teu, (+5.1%) recording a medium hire for container teu pairs to 1.532 dollars (- 2.4%).

Hapag-Lloyd has announced that in the first weeks of the 2012 company it has recorded performance online with the expectations and that the ulterior increase of the cost of the bunker has emphasized the difficulties in a period, that of year beginning, that is moreover of smaller activities.

Hapag-Lloyd has evidenced that the energy costs will continue to represent a challenge for the entire field in the course of 2012 and have remembered that such difficulties have been profitable indispensable to program a determined increase of the hires with beginning from March and April, increase - it has specified the German company - than the market have accepted.

"These increases - it has found Behrendt - are unavoidable to the aim to return newly to adequate and sustainable hires, so much more than the price of the bunker it is gone up ulteriorly.
