Alfredo Tosato is confirmed unanimously president of the European Ship Suppliers Organization



The Italian Alfredo Tosato, vice-president of the National Association Naval Appaltatori Provveditori (ANPAN), is confirmed unanimously president of the European Ship Suppliers Organization (OCEAN) for biennium 2014-2015. Moreover the directive council of the European association of the naval provveditori, than has met last week to Brussels, has confirmed also two vice-president in charge, the Dutch Dirk Cupido and the Finn Matti Kokkala.

The directive one of OCEAN has expressed appreciation for the job carried out during the biennium and has demanded continuity and attention for near future (semester of presidency EU of Italy) and for all the vital arguments of interest for the category (new customs regulations, fiscal and fallen back situation on VAT, integration in matter veterinary).

With respect to the customs norm, ANPAN has remembered that the publication in the past weeks of the new text of the European Customs Code, that will enter definitively on June 1°, 2016 in function, distinguishes and regulated with satisfaction for OCEAN the activities of "shipsupply", although little clear definitions and therefore of application differences in the several Countries are still found susceptible members. "The French presidency of the customs Commission - it has specified Sheared - already is raised awareness for a semplificatrice and chiarificatrice modification of the text, but the distance is not anticipated easy, therefore it will be necessary a careful one and determined job to the aim to align the new Only Code to the norms that regulate the marine activities in international within (IMO), so as to maintain competitive and not to bring damage to the important row of the naval supplies in the several European ports. The three operating committees of OCEAN (Customs, Fiscal and Veterinary) - it has explained Sheared - have carried out, in the biennium, an excellent job of monitoring and introduced numerous proposals, coordinated from the secretariats of Brussels, and London (HOIST), and on this model it agrees to proceed. The three working groups, fulcrum of the activity of the association, will attend the several Commission constantly, and in consideration of acquaintances to 360° of the several operating truths of the companies of "shipsupply" in Europe, they will be ready to face common problems and in a position to proposing immediate solutions.
