CEVA Logistics sells Italian SITTAM to Oil Italo Rumena



The international group CEVA Logistics has reached an agreement with the Milanese Oil Italo Rumena Spa, a controlled society of Group PIR, for the International Shipment sale Terrestrial Transports Marine Airplane and Srl (SITTAM), company of groupage international with center to Cornaredo (Milan).

CEVA Logistics, that it has beyond 44 thousand employee and work all over the world, has specified that the operation is supported by the business direction of Sittam and that the improvement of the transaction is previewed at the end of this month.

Sittam, that it is founded in 1960, has nine branches scattered on the national territory and a strong presence on the European territory by means of services of transport and a net of agents in various nations, between which Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Turkey and Europe of the East. The CEVA group, that it is controlled by affiliated of the society of private Apollo Management equities, is constituted in 2007 by the fusion between TNT Logistics and EGL Eagle Global Logistics and Sittam was already part of TNT when this is sold to Apollo Global Management in 2006 and more late which renominated CEVA Logistics. In the next years Sittam it has continued to operate inside with own brand of the organization of CEVA in Italy.

Group PIR is active in storage, handling and distribution of loose and manifactured solid liquid bulk and producing. The company work in the port of Ravenna (through the branches and participated Adriatank, Docks Cereals, Petra and PIR), in the port of Genoa (through the Arrogant one), to Bologna (through PIR and PIR Petroli), in Albania (to Vlore, through Oil Italo Albanese - DEVOUT) and in Tunisia (to Zarzis, through the SSTC). Moreover the group possesses the hotel structure of Plinian Villa to Returns (Como) that the next month in coincidence with the inauguration of the exhibition event Expo 2015 will open the clappers.
