the Harbour Committee of Taranto has approved of the directory anniversary 2016 of the works and triennial program 2016-2018



Today the Harbour Committee of Taranto has approved of unanimously the directory anniversary 2016 and triennial program 2016-2018 of the public works of the Harbour Authority. In the directory anniversary 2016 pairs to 86,45 million euros that are added to 420 million already engaged for the contracted out works and under realization in the port, for a total total of beyond 500 million euros are inserted participations for a total value of which beyond 220 million being worth on deep own of the harbour agency.

The works of directory 2016 include buildings for logistic accommodations of the technical-nautical services in the rear area the dock services of port - I and II functional lottery (7,80 million); net of collection and collettamento of waters of rain in the common areas of the port and water and fognante net in the zone of East of the port (18,05 million); reconstruction of the bridge floor in reinforced concrete which precompacted of the unfit for use head of the San Cataldo pier (16,90 million); adjustment, increase and structural adaptation of the dock of East of the San Cataldo pier and descent 1 of the port (28,00 million); new outer dam of protection of the port outside oadstead of Taranto - drawn of West (14,00 million); environmental reclamation free areas of the port in oadstead: removal hot ad Passage North (700 thousand); work of ordinary and extraordinary building maintenance of the common parts in the harbour within (1,00 million).

The Harbour Authority has specified that the first two works have reached a level of planning substantially defined and such from being able to allow the publication of the ban of contest within the first relative trimester of 2016 and that the notices to the remaining works however will be published within 2016.

The extraordinary commissioner of the agency, Sergio Prete, has specified that he continues moreover the process of riammodernamento and potenziamento of the port also with the objective to diversify to the traffics graces, in particular, to the total restructure of the public dock called Pier S. Cataldo (head, juts and dropped). Priest has emphasized that, thanks to the under way infrastructural adaptation and the already completed for some participations as the Harbour Logistic Platform and new premises of the Marine Health, the port of Taranto sets off on the attainment of the priority objective of own politics of development: that - it has explained - to become a port of call of "Terza Generazione", that is an infrastructure that goes beyond the performances connected to the disembarkation/boarding of the goods, that is able to offer the complete cycle of the services in the within of the logistic chain and, still more, that it represents a structure to service of the development and the increase of the territory and bridge of connection of the same territory with the domestic markets and international. In particular - Priest has still explained - the completion in the next year of the work of the dock of the Polisettoriale Pier and almost the totality of the participation of dredging, will allow to start, united to the Logistic Platform, the increment of the traffics.
