The president of the Harbour Authority of Ravenna, Galliano Di Marco, is keen on the happened activation 29th December of the first controlled street customs corridor from the port to the Interporto of Bologna that, thanks to it I use of electronic seals (eSeals with technology radio frequency RFID), becomes simpler and velocizza the transfer of goods from the port to the interporto where they could be concluded the customs operations of import. The used technology, in fact, allows a complete traceability of the goods being profitable possible to inside simplify the customs and operating procedures of the international intermodal logistic chain.

"After about a year of made job also of seminaries of formation for staff of the involved companies - it has evidenced the president of the harbour agency of Ravenna, Galliano Di Marco - the experimentation for the goods on rubber is started (but it is hoped soon of being able to make to travel along this corridor also those on railroad) and by 29 December the Fast Corridor to Ravenna is truth".

Of Marco it has remembered that the start of this corridor takes part of the project "Port of Ravenna Fast co-financed Corridor" to 50% from the EU commission and inserted in the program IT TRY in order to support the potenziamento of European infrastructures of transport.

The president of the harbour authority has found that the initiative, that it inside represents a revolution of the traditional international intermodal logistic chain "as all the revolutions, perhaps, initially can scare. I am convinced but - it has added - that they are opened, thanks to the technology used that besides velocizzare procedures and operations it guarantees also, through the complete traceability of the goods, the maximum levels of safety, concrete opportunities to intercept new traffics, to diversify of the flows and to attract goods to greater added value, for the benefit of all the activities of our port of call".

The president of the harbour agency has thanked, between the others the director of the Agency of Customs, Giuseppe Peleggi, "than - it has explained - chosen Ravenna has, before for the experimentation of the Unico Doganale Door, then for that of the clearance in sea and at last for the start, only in the Adriatic (in Italy single the other ports that use it are Genoa, La Spezia and Livorno), of this controlled corridor customs that becomes an important complementary service to the clearance in same sea".
