Tomorrow, in Hydrodynamic Headquarters in Old Port to Trieste, the great exhibition will open the doors to the public "Lloyd. The ships of Trieste in the world", exposure that is I yield of an enormous scientific job of deep search and study on archival carried out in order to assemble hundred of finds originals (models of ship, paintings, silvervares, photo of age, manifestos, etc) that they embellish and they value an important and fundamental part of the historical patrimony, of the tradition of the marineria of the city.

The exhibition has been born from the will to re-knot the threads of the memory, conserving the design of the ambitions, the dreams, the realizations of a marine enterprise that has carried the name of Trieste in the world. An exhibition that the function of the Lloyd, Austrian reconstructs before and Triestine then, a company of intimately bound navigation to the history of Trieste and the great harbour and marine enterprises.

Embryo of the exhibition is the collection of the Lloyd, handed on in the years from Marine Italy, until the acquisition by the Independent Region Friuli Venice Julia and to its delivery to the Municipality of Trieste. Thanks to the support of the CRTrieste Foundation, it has been able to conserve and to restore this important historical and cultural patrimony today valued from the curators of the exhibition, together with the staff of the Museum of the Sea, describing and digitizing beyond 6.200 pieces: models of the old steamboats and the advertising motor-ships, pictures, chinas, statues, manifestos, photographies of age, silvervares, books of edge, plans of construction, names of commanders, artists and planners.

The exposure is promoted and realize by the Municipality of Trieste in collaboration with the Harbour Authority of Trieste, with the contribution of the Independent Region Friuli Venice Julia, of the CRTrieste Foundation and the beneficial Foundation Kathleen Foreman Casali, and with the support of the Trieste sponsors General Transports, AcegasApsAmga, Assurances, Trieste Marine Terminal, Despar and Naval Workshop Quaiat (technical sponsor).

The exhibition will be open until next 9 October with timetables from the 11,00 to the 18,00 from the tuesday to Sunday (in the friday days and saturday in the period from the 13 I reach on 31 August the timetable will be extended until the 21,00). The monday will be day of closing unless in the dates on 28 March, 25 April and 15 August.
