The Harbour Authority of Genoa announces that the requests of delay of the concessions of three terminalisti head physicians will be voted by July



Admiral Giovanni Pettorino, commander of the Harbour office and extraordinary commissioner of the Harbour Authority of the capital of Liguria, charge this last one that is postponed in recent days with I decree of the minister of Infrastructures and of the Transports, it has announced today that the first requests of delay of the concessions introduced in the past few months from three terminalisti head physicians of the harbour port of call, contracts whose current expiration is fixed on December 31, 2020, will be examined by the Harbour Committee by July.

The admiral was waiting for new norms that melted the dilemma on the modality to grant the delays, that is if to follow the road of the procedure to public evidence or to announce publicly a contest, waited for that evidently - also in consideration of the temporal extension of its extraordinary assignment - considers reached beyond the limit.

"After the groundbreaking and complex preliminary investigation produced from the technical structure of the Harbour Authority - it has announced Pettorino - we will be ready, within the July month, to carry in harbour Committee the first determination on the requests of concession of the terminalisti". Draft of the requests introduced from the terminaliste societies SECH, Saint George Terminal and from the group Joints that have asked respective delays for 40, 30 and 40-60 years of the concessions ( on 16 September and 12 October 2015). The harbour agency has specified that "draft of three considered requests concluded, after Saint George Palace had asked ulterior clarifications and documentations regarding the introduced dossiers last year", specifying that "the definitive delivery of the materials has happened in the past months of February and March and now the practical one is near the conclusion".

"In any case, in absence of a normative detailed list in matter - it has clarified the admiral - we will carry in vision our determination to the Ministry of Transportation".

The Harbour Authority has announced that others two requests introduced in 2015, for which is waiting for ulterior documentation, still are not considered concluded and that in these weeks has reached a sixth request whose preliminary appraisal for the publication is in phase of start. Also in these cases contract draft of concession with expiration in 2020.

Evidencing that the job which got ahead to such purpose from the agency particularly intense "is considered the valence of the actions to deliberate, whose outcomes will orient the development of important areas of the port for advanced durations to the decade", the Harbour Authority of Genoa has emphasized that "the complexity of the appraisals moreover is emphasized by the absence of a normative organization in matter, moreover found also to European level, than it is accompanied to the discounted necessity to guarantee transparency and clarity to the procedures in course".

Remembering that "other Harbour Authorities have chosen various procedures", the Harbour Authority of Genoa has rimarcato that "the port of Genoa has a complexity and a pluralità of functions and operators that demand different times of analysis, without with this prejudicing the development of the enterprises and indeed guaranteeing of the most solid administrative bases.
