Last year port of Ancona has enlivened beyond 8,9 million tons of goods, volume that an increase of +4.0% regarding 2015 represents and the better result from 2008. The increment is generated by the progression of the volumes of containerized liquid bulk, goods and rotabili.

In particular, the liquid bulk is increased of +6.4% attesting itself 5,0 million to tons. In the field of cargos the traffic dries is piled to altogether 3,9 million tons (+1.2%), of which than more 2,2 million tons than goods in the Tir and trailers (+2.8%), 1,2 million containerized tons of goods (+3.7%) realized with a handling of containers pairs to 185.846 teu (+4.1%) and other 438 thousand tons of other goods sand banks (- 11.9%). The Authority of Harbour System of Mare Adriatico Centrale has specified that this last bending is cause above all of the progressive decrease of the coal import due to the gradual abandonment of the more polluting energetic sources in the electric power production, while it has turned out in increase handling of producing metalworkers, not ferrous minerals of iron and minerals and metals that in 2016 are piled to 111 thousand tons (+6%).

Last year the number of journeyed Tir and trailer in the port has been of 141.744 units (+3.8%). The harbour agency has specified that the result must to the optimal performance of the Albanian draft that, with 15.338 Tir and trailer, it more has than doubled the traffic of last year. Positive Croatia has been also handling da/per (9,933 means, +8%).

In the 2016 traffic of the passengers it has been little more than a million than people (- 0.5%), of which 950 thousand fleeting of the ferries (- crocieristi 2.1%) and 55 thousand (+39.8%), of which 11 thousand they have chosen Ancona as home port (+63.2%) and 44 thousand are journeyed for doric port of call (+35.0%).

The Authority of System of Mare Adriatico Centrale, agency that succeeds to the Harbour Authority of Ancona in the management of the doric port of call, has been profitable notices also the data of traffic of the other ports that fall back under its jurisdiction. In the 2016 port of Pesaro it has recorded 7,213 passengers on the Croatian director; the port of call of Pescara has seen to journey 3,930 passengers da/per Croatia and has enlivened 126,558 tons of liquid bulk (premium petrol and diesel oil); the port of call of Ortona has enlivened altogether 1.019.041 tons of goods, of which 430,337 tons of liquid bulk and 438,014 solid tons of goods. The passengers in boarding/disembarkation for Croatia have been 653.

The president of the AdSP of Mare Adriatico Centrale, Rodolfo Giampieri, has emphasized as 2016 have been "an ulterior positive year for the port of Ancona. A confirmation - it has added - that the strategy of the Authority of System is on the right roads in order to return the port of call competitive and to allow with the operators of being able itself to propose in the dynamic international market of the portualità and the logistics in the best one of the ways".

From this year the Authority of System anticipates the data also of the other ports of competence, obtained thanks to the collaboration of the local offices of the Harbour offices.
