11 April to Roma Confetra will introduce the volume "When Italy of the transports was born"



Next 11 April to Rome, near the center of the Cnel, the Confetra - General Confederation Italiana of the Transports and the Logistics will introduce the book "When Italy of the transports" of Umberto Cutolo (Marsilio Editori was born). The volume recalls the birth in 1986, after two years of job, of the general first floor of the transports Italian to which also Confetra it gave a meaningful contribution with own Centro Studi.

For the first time in the history of the Country, in fact, the system of mobility was planned as unitary a complex, integrated, functional, connected to Europe, rather than as the summary one of a series of modality and separated subjects, in competition from each other. The Plan - the Piggittì, as it was familiarly succeeded in to call it - supplied progettuali addresses and normative instruments at the same time in order to put into effect it.

Confetra has remembered that not all those that the plan previewed was realized and that the resistances - sector, local, corporative - were multiple and trained, but in the time great part of that design was put into effect. Above all - it has found the Confederation - the sign than recorded is in that integrated vision of the entire system of the transports that was to the base of the initial intuition and from which comes down all by now the next actions in the field.

The book of Cutolo, through the documentation of testimonies of the protagonists, reports parliamentarians, next articles of daily paper and witnesses, reconstructs the climate of those days, from the initial enthusiasms to the first resistances, from the fervor of the students to the controversies between academics, from the consent parliamentarian to the disintegration of the political picture, in a total design in which often the report crosses the history, but both tell the birth and the affirmation of a culture.

The encounter of 11 April will be introduced by the salutes of Delio Napoleon, national Prime Minister of the economy and the job. To the presentation of the volume, to the presence of the author, Nereo Marcucci, president of the Confetra, Claudio Signorile will take part, already minister of the Transports, Ercole Incalza, already general secretary of the PGT, and Giuseppe De Rita, president of the Censis Foundation.
