To Trieste the award of Zeno D' Augustin and Maria Cristina Pedicchio



This morning to the president of the Authority of Harbour System of Mare Adriatico Orientale, Zeno D' Augustin, is conferred prize Saint Giusto d' Oro 2019, event which reached 53rd the edition that has been organized from the Assostampa of the Friuli Venice Julia with the collaboration of the Municipality of Trieste and the CrTrieste Foundation.

For Assostampa FVG, with the prize to Zeno D' Augustin, "it is wanted to be recognized, to three hundred years from birth of the Carriage free, its personal contribution to the development of the port, therefore of the future of Trieste: a made development of important numbers and in continuous rise but above all of vision, ability to integrate the territories and not to also be satisfied of the meaningful occupational increase; merit also of the will of the president Of Augustin to live the city, participating to its daily life and conversing with its protagonists, between which the operators of the information, without to limit itself to from above govern of important and fundamental processes or from outside".

Of rewarded Augustin it so goes to join to the number of the prestigious ones between which they figure Giorgio Strehler, Ottavio Missoni, Claudio Magris, Gillo Dorfles, Lelio Luttazzi, Boris Pahor and Susanna Tamaro.

"I dedicate this prize to Trieste - it has declared Of Augustin in occasion of the award ceremony is turned in the room of the Town council of the giuliana city - a city to which I hope to have given a lot, and that it is giving back a lot to me in professional terms and of human relations. Trieste honors me with this acknowledgment prestigious that I turn with the heart to all the city, become part of my life. Saint Giusto d' Oro becomes an ulterior dew claw in order to go ahead on this route with greater enthusiasm and to grow the port in sustainable way, working with the workers, to the harbour community and the agencies of the territory. A particular thanks today goes to my family that living to Trieste always has also not been to my flank and the memory of my parents".

Edition 2019 of the prize is dedicated to Pierluigi Rotta and Matteo Demenego, the two murdered agents two months ago in the Police headquarters of Trieste.

An other award has held yesterday to Trieste, with Propeller local Club that has conferred Propeller d' Oro 2019 to the outgoing president of Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia and Experimental Geophysicist of Trieste, Maria Cristina Pedicchio. The acknowledgment, delivered from president of Propeller Club of Trieste, Fabrizio Zerbini, is assigned every year to women, men, enterprises or associations that particularly have distinguished in favoring commercial exchanges and economic development, but also widening of the acquaintance and appreciation of the city.

Pedicchio is rewarded for having distinguished "in the study activity and of scientific spreading also on topics of the great present time which the climatic changes and the heating of the Earth, for the development and the increase of own activities it is in national within that international, for the strong will and determination demonstrated in order to maintain the autonomy of own management, for the job that daily it carries out to service of the community".
