Approved in Cagliari the establishment of the Agency for the port work of transhipment

The new K.A.L.POR.T. Srl (Karalis Agenzia per il Lavoro Transhipment Port) will have a legal duration of 36 months and will guarantee support for the professional placement of registered workers, their vocational training that will come financed by the Region of Sardinia with European adjustment funds to globalisation (EGF), the provision of work to companies enabled to carry out activities within the scope of competence at the in order to integrate its staff, the provision of work temporary, to supplement the existing workforce, to any company authorized to carry out activities in the port area of competence of the AdSP through the authorized person pursuant to Article 17 of Law No 84 of 28 January 1994.

The AdSP highlighted that, above all, the initiative "will guarantee a decent income for all former workers employed in the container sector, pending the hoped-for recovery of trafficking'. "Today's resolution, which establishes the establishment of the Agency for the port work of the transhipment – said the president of the port authority, Massimo Deiana - is a historic result, the result of a work of synergy between AdSP, trade unions and governmental and parliamentary institutions, which goes to support the workers of the container sector of the Port Cagliari canal in the crucial phase of hoped-for revival of the Trades.
