'Seatrade Mediterranean Cruise and Ferry Convention', convegno ed esposizione sul mercato crocieristico mediterraneo, ha aperto i battenti oggi alla Fiera Internazionale di Genova. Ai numerosi interventi dei relatori, previsti nel corso dei quattro giorni in cui si svolge la manifestazione e elencati nel programma riportato di seguito, si affianca una parte espositiva che ha raggiunto dimensioni notevolmente superiori rispetto a quelle già significative della prima edizione del 1996 ( del 12 settembre 1996, 19 giugno e 4 settembre 1998).
L'intervento del ministro dei Trasporti e della Navigazione Claudio Burlando all'inaugurazione di oggi pomeriggio è pregiudicato dalle trattative condotte in queste ore in Austria con il commissario europeo ai Trasporti Neil Kinnock per evitare una nuova bocciatura da parte della Commissione UE riguardo all'apertura del nuovo aeroporto di Milano Malpensa, che sono però fallite.
