The EBITDA has been pairs to 184,6 million euros (- 6.4%) and the operating profit is piled to 65,6 million euros, with a reduction of the -18,9% respect to a EBIT of 80,9 million euros in the third trimester of 2015.

Of the total transported containerized cargo volume in the third trimester of 2016 from the fleet of portacontainer of Hapag-Lloyd, 586 thousand teu are transported by the services with Latin America (+6.5%), 385 thousand teu on the routes ocean-going liners (- 3.3%), 379 thousand teu on those transpacifiche (+4.4%), 319 thousand teu from the services with the Far East (- 0.3%), 178 thousand teu from the services intra-asiati us (+27.1%) and 100 thousand teu from the services for Europe, Middle East and Oceania (+11.1%).

In the first nine months of the 2016 fleet of Hapag-Lloyd it has transported altogether beyond 5,6 million teu, with a progression of +1.3% on the period January-september last year. On the routes with the Latin America they are transported 1,7 million teu (- 1.5%), on the routes ocean-going liners almost 1,2 million teu (- 1.2%), on transpacifiche routes 1,1 million teu (+4.6%), the services with Far East have transported 927 thousand teu (- 5.0%), those intra-asiati us 492 thousand teu (+17.1%) and the services for Europe, the Middle East and Oceania 308 thousand teu (+14.1%). In the first nine months of this year the medium hire for container teu has turned out pairs to 1.037 dollars (- 17.7%).

The company of Amburgo has closed the first nine months of 2016 with revenues pairs to 5,71 billion euros, down of the -16,0% regarding 6,81 billion euros in the correspondent period last year. The EBITDA is piled to 381,3 million euros (- 44.8%) and the EBIT to 25,9 million euros (- 92.6%). "Our main objectives for the next trimesters - it has specified Jansen - are those to ulteriorly improve the voice of our costs, to assure a correct implementation of the THE Alliance and to complete the transaction with the UASC in order to ulteriorly strengthen our position in a field that is about to consolidation". This year, in fact, Hapag-Lloyd has constituted new shipowning alliance THE Alliance with the Japanese companies Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha ("K" Linens), Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK), to the taiwanese Yang Ming and the Hanjin Shipping South Korean, company this last one that to september is placed in controlled administration ( on 13 May 2016), alliance that will become operating the next 1° April; moreover in the course of the Hapag-Lloyd year it has agreed the fusion of the activities in the field of line with the Middle Eastern United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) ( on 21 April, 18 July and 29 August 2016).
