Nel terzo trimestre il porto di Hong Kong ha movimentato 5,3 milioni di teu (+9%)
Il traffico merci è salito complessivamente a 50,5 milioni di tonnellate (+12%)

Nel terzo trimestre di quest'anno il porto di Hong Kong ha movimentato 50,5 milioni di tonnellate di merci, con un incremento del 12% rispetto allo stesso periodo del 2001. Sia le importazioni (31,2 milioni di tonnellate) che le esportazioni (19,3 milioni di tonnellate) sono cresciute del 12%.
I dati, depurati dagli effetti della stagionalità - resi noti ieri dal Census & Statistics Department di Hong Kong - mostrano per il terzo trimestre di quest'anno un incremento complessivo del traffico del 3% rispetto al precedente secondo trimestre, con un incremento del 2% e del 5% rispettivamente delle importazioni e delle esportazioni.
Nel terzo trimestre 2002 il porto di Hong Kong ha movimentato 5,3 milioni di teu, con un aumento del 9% rispetto allo stesso periodo dello scorso anno. I container pieni (4,1 milioni di teu) sono risultati in crescita del 10% e quelli vuoti (1,1 milioni di teu) in aumento del 9%. Gli sbarchi e gli imbarchi di container pieni hanno registrato una progressione rispettivamente del 10% e del 9% a 1,8 e 2,3 milioni di teu.
Nel periodo luglio-settembre di quest'anno il numero delle navi arrivate nel porto cinese è diminuito dell'8% a 8.410 unità, mentre la capacità è aumentata del 2% a 70,9 milioni di tonnellate di stazza netta.
Nei primi nove mesi di quest'anno il porto di Hong Kong ha movimentato 14,1 milioni di teu. Ricordiamo che nello stesso periodo il porto di Singapore, secondo alle spalle di Hong Kong nella graduatoria mondiale di questo tipo di traffico, ha registrato una movimentazione container pari a 12,7 milioni di teu (inforMARE del 7 novembre 2002).
