Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has closed the second quarter of this year with an improvement in economic performance. The cruise company closed the period with a net profit of 29.2 million dollars on revenues of $ 568.6 million compared to a net loss of $ 14.9 million on revenues of $ 477.9 million in the second quarter of 2010. The adjusted EBITDA amounted to 123.5 million (+29.0%) and operating profit of $ 76.2 million (+36.5%).
In the period April to June of 2011 ships of the fleet of NCL hosted 374,380 passengers, an increase of 13.2% over the same period last year, and days of cruise passengers were 2,520,067 (+13.3 %).
In the first half of this year the company reported net income of $ 18.5 million on revenues of $ 1.0641 billion compared to a net loss of 31.1 million dollars on revenues of 894.4 million dollars in the first half of last year.The Adjusted EBITDA totaled U.S. $ 786.0000000 (+32.3%) and operating profit to 205.4 million dollars (+45.8%). In the first six months of 2011 ships of NCL hosted 747,080 passengers (+17.5%).
