In the first half of 2011 the port of Zeebrugge has handled a total of 24.4 million tons of freight, a decrease of 1, 6% from 24.8 million tonnes in the first six months of last year.
The container traffic, measured in box 20 ', fell by 6.8%. Conventional goods also fell (-6.6%), while the solid and liquid bulk are increased by 5.9% and 18.2%. The new car factory traffic grew by 15%.
