In the first quarter of the financial year 2011-2012, which ended on 30th June, the Malaysian shipping company MISC recorded a net profit of 187.8 million ringgit ($ 63 million) on revenues of 3.0093 billion ringgit, with decreases of 59.3% and 8 respectively, 0% over the first quarter of the previous financial year. Operating profit amounted to 187.8 million ringgit (-59.5%).
The decline in turnover was caused by lower revenues in the shipbuilding and shipping line.
