In the first six months of 2011 ships of the fleet of the greek Attica used on routes between Greece and Italy have carried 226,019 passengers, 59,225 freight units and 48,307 private vehicles, with declines of 10.9%, respectively, 2.2 and 11% , 5% on the first half of last year. On domestic routes for the Greek fleet carried 1,388,224 passengers in the group (-19.3%), 64,112 freight units (-17.8%) and 164,895 private cars and motorcycles (-27.5%).
Attica has closed the first half of this year with a net loss of 33.98 million euros on revenues of 111.46 million euros compared to a net loss of 31.99 million euros on revenues of 125.79 million euros in the first half of 2010. EBITDA was a loss of 16.56 million euros compared to a deficit of 7.29 million euros in the first six months of 2010.
