The historical ship yard of Danzica will return of Polish property



. Agencja Rozwoju Przemystu (IDA), the agency of industrial development of property of the Polish Ministry of the treasury, has signed an agreement with the Gdansk Shipyard Group based on which IDA, than currently stops 18.95% of the capital of the shipbuilding company Stocznia Gdanska, will obtain remaining 81.05%. Moreover the understanding previews that IDA not still acquires also remaining 50% of the capital in its possession of the GSG Towers, created society in order to diversify the activity of the plant of Danzica increasing it to that of the production of wind systems.

In the 2007 Polish yard it was privatized and 75% of the capital of the company were bought through the acquisition of actions and an increase of vital from the ISD Polska, that the Ukrainian manufacturer Serhiy Taruta is under responsibility of, founder of the Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), while remaining 25% were possessed by IDA.

The agreement, that it has already obtained the green light of the Polish authority antitrust, will have to be approved of in the next weeks from the directive organs of the parts. IDA will carry out the acquisitions through the society integrally controlled SPV Operator.

IDA has explained that reason of the acquisition is the intention of the board of directors to take advantage of the boom of the field of the shipbuilding in order to restructure and successively to develop the ship yard of Danzica, operation that however can be possible single with the full control of the property of the activities.

"We have concluded - the president of IDA has said, Marcin Chludzinski - many difficult ones and been extended negotiations and I am pleased that they have been capacities to term with success. For us the acquisition of Gdansk Shipyard and GSG Towers represents a transaction, based on our analyses and the boom of the market of the shipbuilding. We are convinced that on the base of these assets it is possible to reconstruct with success the industry of the shipbuilding, so that is the feather in the cap of Poland".

Referring to the doubts provoked in Poland from the will of the agency of industrial development to continue the negotiations for the acquisition of the yard, Chludzinski has specified that "there is intentional of the time in order to negotiate a so complex project. Now - she has added - IDA can pass to the phase key: the restructure. Both the companies - it has specified - demand a fast action, but I can assure that we slowly have a good ones on as carrying out it, bearing in mind that this will be a long and highly participatory process for all the interested parts".

"Our priority - it has specified vice-president of IDA, Andrzej Kensbok - is to stabilize the financial situation of the companies. In both we have the intention of bring changes that go from the governance to a coherent strategy. We want to quickly implement the processes necessary and to start projects that they in the long term guarantee their development in the competitive market of the shipbuilding and in the segment of wind energy, included the offshore energy. We see the potential one of the field: both the companies have employee expert and want to take advantage of these competences at best. I am convinced that this mission will have happened".
