
In 2025, the Spanish port system recorded revenue
Estimated record amounts to €1.35 billion, up +4.7%
compared to 1.29 billion in the previous year. The Ministry of
Transport and Sustainable Mobility of Madrid has announced
whereas in the 2025 preliminary budget, the main source of revenue,
that of port fees (anchorage charge, taxes on goods
and passengers, etc.), generated revenues of 653 million
euro (+3.5%). A further 349 million were generated by fees for
state concessions (+3.4%) and €162 million from taxes for
the exercise of commercial, industrial and service activities
falling within the port domain (+9.3%).
On the expenditure front, in 2025 the main items were
depreciation and amortisation of fixed assets (€450 million),
external services (€357 million) and staff expenditure
(336 million euros).
In 2025, earnings before interest, taxes,
depreciation, amortization and write-downs stood at 664
million euros (+2.7%9 and pre-tax profit of 349 million euros
(+4,2%).
