
Last May, the traffic of goods in the port of Ravenna was
grew by +3.4% on the same month of 2025 having amounted to
2.45 million tons. The increase was driven by the
Increased volumes of conventional goods and petroleum products
amounted to 585 thousand tons (+16.7%) and 455 thousand tons respectively
tons (+66.1%). Other liquid bulk cargo decreased by
-24.9% dropping to 130 thousand tons and also declining were
dry bulk with 910 thousand tons (-11.7%) as well as
containerized goods with 228 thousand tons (-7.2%) and rolling stock
with 143 thousand tons (-1.6%). In May 2026, the traffic of
cruise passengers was 55 thousand passengers (+83.1%).
In the first five months of 2026, the port of Ravenna
handled a total of 11.72 million tons of goods,
with an increase of +5.3% over the corresponding period of 2014
last year. In the various goods sector, the following have been handled:
2.59 million tonnes of conventional goods (+2.3%), 1.06
million tons of containerized goods (+1.7%) made with
a handling of containers equal to 95 thousand TEUs (+2.1%) and
692 thousand tons of rolling stock (+5.4%). In the bulk sector
1.79 million tons of liquid waste were handled.
petroleum products (+43.4%) and 647 thousand tons of other cargoes
(-17,8%). Dry bulk cargo totaled 4.94 million
tons (+1.5%). In the period, there were 56 thousand cruise passengers
(+81,4%).
The Port System Authority of the Central Adriatic Sea
Settentrionale announced that, according to initial estimates, in June
2026 the port handled more than 2.4 million tons
of goods, with a year-on-year increase of +10.6%. Growing, in
solid agri-food products (+18%),
metallurgical products (+18.1%), construction materials (+45.6%) and
fertilizers (+5.8%). On the other hand, liquid agri-food products are down
(-42.5%), liquid chemicals (-14.4%), solid chemicals
(-19.4%) and oil (-19.8%). Traffic stable
goods on trailers and the number of trailers is growing slightly
(+0,7%). Goods in containers were positive (+9.4), with a decrease
-3.8% in the number of TEUs handled.
