Fincantieri announced today the signing of two memorandums of understanding in agreement with the Croatian shipyard Brodotrogir Cruise d.o.o and Iskra Shipyard LLC as part of the participation of the Italian group to the naval acquisition program for two Corvette Multi Role (MRC) promoted by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Croatia. The aim of the agreement is to combine Fincantieri's experience with consolidated capabilities of Croatian partners, fostering a growing involvement of the latter in the project.

The agreements define the scope of reference for explore possible forms of collaboration in the activities of design, engineering and shipbuilding to support the Fincantieri's proposal for the MRC program. The Italian company has specified that, through the involvement of partners Croatian industrialists at the main stages of the value chain, The initiative aims to develop local skills, increase the national industrial participation and generate long-term value period for the country.
