Nel primo trimestre di quest'anno Air Canada ha registrato un passivo d'esercizio di 160 milioni di dollari canadesi (104,8 milioni di dollari USA), con un miglioramento di 133 milioni di dollari canadesi rispetto al primo trimestre del 2001. Il passivo ante imposte è ammontato a 225 milioni di dollari canadesi (294 milioni nel 2001).
