the new commissioner of the Harbour Authority of Trieste has met the representatives of the local institutions



Yesterday in the center of the Region Friuli Venice Julia the president of the regional agency Debora Serracchiani, the president of the Province of Trieste, Maria Teresa Bassa Poropat, and the mayor of Trieste, Roberto Cosolini, has met the new commissioner of the Harbour Authority of Trieste, Zeno D' Augustin.

It has been be a matter - Debora Serracchiani has explained - of "a first encounter in order to estimate in via preliminary matter all the topics founding relative to the port of Trieste". "There are some problems - it has added - on which give quickly must be aimed the attention of the giuliana Harbour Authority: between these the town development plan, the investments in the area of complex industrial crisis of the Ironworks, the engagements and the perspectives of increase of the port of call, with the regarding projects the lengthening of the Pier VII, the logistic platform, the railway infrastructuring. A fundamental aspect - it has emphasized the president of the Region - remains however that legacy to the organization of the job in the harbour within on whose the Authority will have to be engaged in the immediate one. In so far as the availability of the agencies of the territory is maximum is in order to guarantee the necessary institutional collaboration is in order to support this process of reorganization and in order to accompany all the activities that already are set up or that they will have to be set up in the arc of the next weeks".

The Region - it has continued Debora Serracchiani - "must begin indeed to reason in terms of portualità increased with all its ports, therefore also with Monfalcone and Porto Nogaro, and the entire intermodal system (between the nodal points Marzio Field to Trieste, junction Saint Polo to Monfalcone, interporto of Cervignano) for in perspective making of this our region a true logistic platform, than but it needs being put together, constructing synergies, with the Regions but also with the near Countries to we: we must be prepared for this perspective".

Serracchiani has at last clarified the position of the Region with respect to the hypothesis of realization of a regasification plant in the area of Zaule: "we have inherited - it has explained - a heavy situation from the point of view of the authorization of national Way on the rigassificatore, in consideration of the fact that the regional executive precedence had not expressed from the beginning a position of contrarietà to the system. To the action of our takeover we have tried to make see again the position of the ministry of the Atmosphere. The Harbour Authority of Trieste would have had to introduce to a technical commission all a series of analysis and data on the courses of the harbour traffics and on the perspectives of investments that, to our warning, the incompatibility between harbour activities and rigassificatore would undoubtedly have indicated, carrying the same ministry of the Atmosphere to revoke the precedence to seem favorable. Those data - it has found - are not considered sufficient". Serracchiani has remembered also the contrarietà many times over expressed also from the government of Slovenia to the takeover of this system to little kilometers from the border. "Come Regione, that he must express the so-called understanding on the project, with Province and Municipality of Trieste - has concluded - we restate therefore newly will dissatisfy it to the takeover of the rigassificatore to Zaule".
