In the first nine months of this year the traffic of the goods in the port of Livorno has grown of +3.4%



In the first nine months of this year the port of Livorno has enlivened 25 million tons of goods, with an increment of +3.4% on the period January-september of the 2015 that is yields of rises of the traffic pairs respective to approximately +7%, +4% and 0% in first, second and third trimester of 2016.

In increase also passengers (+26% for ferries and +18.6% for the cruises).

Altogether the goods several is piled to 17,8 million tons (+4.5%), of which 7,1 million tons of containerized cargos (+7.7%) and 1,5 million conventional tons of goods (- 0.2%). For the container - it has explained the harbour authority - the positive value recorded to the term of the period January-september is obtained thanks to the transfer traffic that regarding last year has grown of +27%. Relatively to rotabili cargos, that pairs to 9,2 million tons have turned out, the data - it has specified the harbour agency - is however incomplete still lacking in the cargo counting some ships the september month. In particular, in the field of the rotabili handling has reached beyond 285 thousand average commercial in disembarkation-boarding, pairs to an increment of +13.3% that is determined by the increase of the enlivened vehicles as a result of the activation of new services of dedicated line to the Freeways of the Sea from the Grimaldi group on Livorno.

the Harbour Authority has emphasized moreover that, with beyond 1,4 million tons of cellulose, paper and timber enlivened in the period January-september and an increment percentage of +11.1%, the forest traffic of the confirmation of being, with that of the rotabili, one of the Core assets of the Leighorn port of call. Positive also the traffic of the new cars that has reached a total handling of beyond 425 thousand unit (24.3%).

the volumes of the bulk have totaled 7,3 million tons, of which 6,7 million tons of liquid bulk and 636 thousand tons of solid bulk.

For the traffic fleeting, the crocieristi are piled altogether 683.069 people and the passengers of the ferries have been 2.234.533.
