The producer of crane Konecranes records a decrease of the economic results and the orders



The Finnish company Konecranes, that it produces to crane and means of handling for economic industries, ports, terminals, ship yards and other fields, has archived item the first trimester of this year with a bending of the economic results and, after five consecutive trimesters of increase to two figures, also with a decrease of the new orders. In the period the turnover of the group is come down of the -1,7% to 672,8 million euros regarding 684,1 million euros in the first three months of 2017. The EBITDA has turned out pairs to 51,2 million euros regarding 254,6 million euros in the first trimester last year (number this last one that includes proceeds for 218,4 million deriving from the cession of the Stahl CraneSystems) and the EBITDA adjusted to 55,2 million euros (+12.6%). The operating profit is piled to 23,8 million euros (- 89.5%) and the profit clearly to 8,3 million euros (- 95.7%).

In the first three months of the 2018 single division Port Solutions, than one takes care mainly of means of handling for the harbour field and that the acquisition by Konecranes is constituted as a result of the division Material Handling & Port Solutions (MHPS) of the American Terex Corporation that has had effect on January 4, 2017(on 17 May 2016), it has recorded a turnover of 200,6 million euros (+10.6%) and an operating profit of 3,1 million euros respect to an operating result of sign negative and pairs to -1,1 million euros in the first trimester last year.

In the first trimester of this year the Konecranes group has acquired new orders for a total of 683,1 million euros (- 7.0%) and the value of the orderbook on 31 March has been attested to 1,58 billion euros, with a decrease of the -1,8% regarding on March 31, 2017. The single division Port Solutions has confiscated new orders for 226,2 million euros (- 8.5%) and on March 31, 2018 the value of the pocketbook orders turned out pairs to 836,2 million euros (+3.0%).

If in the first three months of this year the results of the Konecranes have shown a bending, those of the Terex American, that it produces mainly average of handling for the fields industrial, mining and of the constructions, have recorded an increase, with a turnover clearly that it is increased of +25.2% to 1,26 billion dollars and operating and useful profit clearly attested respective to 71,3 million and 50,3 million dollars regarding results of sign negative for -6,3 million and -4,6 million dollars in the first trimester of 2017. To signal that Terex has accounted for the results of division MHPS as destined activity to the dismissione in according to trimester of 2016.
