A HIGH SPEED RAILWAY LINE AND NEW ROAD CONNECTIONS
Eurocorridor 5 will soon link the cities of Trieste, Ljubljana, Budapest, Leopoli and Kiev

The Palazzo Revoltella in Trieste has been the venue of the meeting of the Transport Ministers of Italy Claudio Burlando, Slovenia Igor Umek, Hungary Karoly Lotz and Ukraine Ivan Petrovic. The subject of the meeting was Eurocorridor 5, which will soon link the cities of Trieste, Ljubljana, Budapest, Leopoli and Kiev with a high speed railway line and a new road connections suitable for heavy haulage. Investments are expected to amount to 12 thousand billion Lire and the construction of the works will take fifteen years. At the end of the proceedings for the protocol of agreement which will involve the above-mentioned countries, a meeting with all the economic and social representatives of the city of Trieste was held with the participation of Transport Minister Claudio Burlando alone.
