To new April peak historical salary of the total of the cargo on the ships journeyed in the Suez Canal



Last month the total volume of the cargo on the ships journeyed in the Suez Canal has reached a new historical peak salary being piled almost 80,9 million tons, advanced figure to the precedence record of 80,4 million tons established in December of the 2017 and advanced one of +6.9% regarding 75,6 million totaled tons in April 2017.

The new record is established thanks to the historical peak of goods on the ships journeyed in the channel Egyptian in the direction north-south, that it has been of 44,1 million tons, advanced to the precedence record of 43,8 million tons of November 2017 and with an increment of +8.6% regarding April 2017. Last month the cargo on the ships journeyed in the direction south-north is piled to 36,7 million tons, in increase of +4.9% on the April last year.

To April 2018 in the channel they are journeyed in the two directions a total of 1.483 ships (+2.3% on April 2017) for total 92,5 million tons of net tonnage (+7.3%), of which 364 oil tankers (- 0.5%) for 15,6 million tons of net tonnage (+3.2%) and 1,119 ships of other type (+3.3%) for 76,8 million tons of net tonnage (+8.3%) included 473 portacontainer (+6.3%) for 52,2 million tons of net tonnage (+12.2%) and 298 to rinfusiere (+17.3%) for 10,7 million tons of net tonnage (+15.9%).

In the first quadrimestre of this year in the Suez Canal they are journeyed 5,657 ships for altogether 352,7 million tons of net tonnage, with increments respective of +0.5% and +8.6% on the first four months of 2017. The oil tankers have been 1,433 (- 4.0%) for 59,8 million tons of net tonnage (- 1.6%) and the ships of other type 4,224 (+2.2%) for 292,8 million tons of net tonnage (+10.9%).

In the first four months of the 2018 ships journeyed transported a total of 304,6 million tons of goods (+4.6%), of which 157,7 million tons of boarded cargos on the ships directed to south (+2.4%) and 146,8 million tons on those directing to north (+7.1%). Between the main boarded cargo volumes on the ships the directions journeyed in both figured the container with 158,7 million tons (+5.0%), the crude oil with 33,7 million tons (- 3.7%), the cereals with 13,4 million tons (+1.5%), the coal and the lignite with 10,3 million tons (+119.5%), diesel oils with 9,5 million tons (+44.3%) and gasolines with 9,3 million tons (+16.2%).

Relatively to the sun ships directed to north, the main cargos turned out constituted from container with 79,5 million tons (+6.0%), crude oil with 21,8 million tons (- 7.6%), diesel oils with 8,8 million tons (+54.3% and gasolines with 6,7 million tons (+43.4%), while for the sun ships directed to south the main cargos were constituted by container with 79,2 million tons (+3.9%), cereals with 13,1 million tons (0%), crude oil with 11,9 million tons (+4.3%) and minerals and metals with 8,5 million tons (- 13.3%).
