This year, according to Cemar, the crocieristico traffic in the Italian ports will drop of -9,7%



This year the crocieristico traffic in the Italian ports will diminish of -9,7%. Agency marine genoese Cemar Agency considers Network that has introduced own forecasts for the field of the cruises in the within of the exhibition event international Seatrade Cruise Global that is on to Fort Lauderdale, in Florida.

"The increase of the cruises - the president of the Cemar has explained, Sergio Senesi - continues unstoppable, but to benefit some it will not be the Italy that in 2017 will assist instead to an important decrement in terms of enlivened passengers and of touched ship". In particular, the genoese agency considers that this year an sensitive decrease will be recorded is in terms of passengers enlivened in the Italian ports, with a total of 9.840.000 units (- 9.7% regarding 10.895.279 passengers in 2016) are a touched bending of the ship in the national ports of call (- 10.3% from the 4,885 of 2016 to the 4,383 of 2017). According to Cemar, moreover, in the 2017 number of ships in transit in Italian waters it will be attested on the 133 units, in representation of 42 companies of navigation, against the 146 ships of 2016.

"The projections - it has added Sienese - indicate that the Caribbean, Alaska and Far East will be the destinations of tip of this year, those on which the question of the market it will record a strong increase sure. Decrease in the presence of cruise ships in the Italian ports riconducibile to the tinning abandonment of various American companies and to situation of the port of Venice will be recorded above all instead an important because of the tonnage limit. Moreover if, as already paventato, the main companies resumed to carry out ports of call in the port of Tunisi, an ulterior decrease would happen at least 100,000 passengers enlivened in the Italian ports, above all to Cagliari, Trapani and Palermo. Italy - it has found Sienese - remains however the first crocieristica destination in the Mediterranean Sea".

For Cemar, this Civitavecchia year will be still the first Italian port with 2.296.000 enlivened passengers (- 1.9% regarding 2016); they will follow Venice with 1.342.000 passengers (- 17.4%) Genoa 973,000 (- 4.4%) and Savona with 937.000 passengers (+4.0%). Al fifth place will be Naples that will record a fort decrease with single 861,000 enlivened passengers (- 34.1%) and therefore Livorno 657,000 passengers (- 18.7%). Cagliari, to the seventh place with 395.000 passengers, will be in controtendenza thanks to the current exclusion of Tunisi from the routes of the cruises in the western Mediterranean. It classifies of the first ten Italian ports is completed by Palermo, La Spezia and Messina.

Cemar has specified that in 2017 the total of involved Italian ports in crocieristico traffic (74 regarding the 73 of 2016 remains instead practically unchanged).
