New historical quarterly record of traffic of the goods for the port of Barcelona



In according to trimester of this year port of Barcelona it has established the own new historical quarterly record of traffic of the goods having enlivened 17,8 million tons of cargos, with an increment of +5.8% on according to trimester of a 2018 and increase of +3.7% on the previous record achieved in the third trimester last year. The new quarterly maximum peak is obtained thanks to the new quarterly absolute record of containerized trade that is piled to 9,0 million tons (+3.1% on according to trimester the 2018), record that is not such if this type of traffic is counted in enlivened containers from 20 ': in this case the total is in fact of 878 thousand teu (+4.2%) and is inferior is to the absolute record of 901 thousand teu marked in the third trimester of the 2018 that to the volume of traffic of 898 thousand teu recorded in the last trimester last year. To generate the new quarterly record it has been also the historical maximum peak of the liquid bulk traffic that in the period April-june of 2019 is piled to beyond 4,7 million tons (+25.6%), of which a total record of 3,5 million tons of hydrocarbons (+16.1%) and a total record of 1,2 million tons of other cargos liquids (+65.5%). The goods conventional pairs to 3,1 million tons (- 6.2% have been). The bulk sand banks has attested to 954 thousand tons (- 5.2%). In the field of the passengers the traffic has been than more 1,3 million people (+5.0%), of which 973 thousand crocieristi (+2.3%) and 377 thousand fleeting of ferries (+12.8%).

In the first semester of this year the Spanish harbour port of call has enlivened altogether 33,6 million tons of goods, with a progression of +1.8% on the first half of 2018. In the field of the goods several the traffic has been of 23,3 million tons (+1.3%), of which 17,4 million containerized tons of goods (+2.8%) pairs to 1,72 million teu (+5.2%), included 748 thousand teu in transhipment (+12.4%), and 5,9 million conventional tons of goods (- 3.0% totaled with a handling of containers). Handling of new cars has been pairs to 417 thousand vehicles (- 9.2%). The liquid bulk is increased of +6.1% 8,3 million to tons, of which 6,3 million tons of hydrocarbons (- 1.9%) and 2,0 million tons of other liquid bulk (- 7.3%). In the segment of the passengers the traffic has been almost 1,9 million people (+4.4%), of which 1,3 million in the field of cruises (+2.0%) and 590 thousand in that of ferries (+9.9%).
