Wärtsilä announced that in the third quarter of 2026 the stability of orders for services in the Marine segment was determined by an increase of orders of spare parts in the face of a decrease of those relating to assistance agreements due to periodization issues. Moreover - it has specified the company - in some segments the increase of the prices of the fuel has reduced the expense for services in the short term, while the increase of the value of the marine ones has led to the postponement of some activity of assistance. The acquisition of orders in the field of services has grown mainly in the naval, military and merchant segments, and offshore, while it has recorded a bending in the segment of the ships from cruise. Wärtsilä, moreover, has explained that the acquisition of orders for equipment in the Marine segment is diminished due to a less number of orders in the field of the ferries regarding a third trimester of the particularly solid 2025. The order portfolio of the segment at 30 September last recorded an increment of +18% going up to 9,88 billion. The company has announced that the times of delivery of the equipment for the marine field have elongated because of a greater accumulation of orders at the ship yards and that this will affect in the future on the recognition of the revenues.
