The Special Company for the Port of Monfalcone will be acquired from the AdSP of Mare Adriatico Orientale



The Special Company for the Port of Monfalcone (REEL), society for the development of the port of Monfalcone instituted in 1975 from the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Handicraft and Agriculture of Gorizia, will be acquired from the Authority of Harbour System of Mare Adriatico Orientale, the which succeeded to agency the Harbour Authority of Trieste as a result of the modification of the norms in harbour matter of half 2016.

The property passage is deliberated by the Committee of management of the AdSP in the course of the reunion yesterday to which it has participated, which invited permanent, Annamaria Cisint, mayor of the Municipality of Monfalcone, than has expressed itself positively on the initiative. The decision, that it had already discounted the positive opinion of the Ministry of Infrastructures and the Transports, is consequent to the inclusion of the port isontino in the Authority of Harbour System of Mare Adriatico Orientale, inclusion process that has seen the decisive and indispensable involvement of the Independent Region Friuli-Venezia Giulia and that it will be completed in the next weeks with the signature of an institutional understanding between the interested agencies, that will formally complete the passage of competences for the management of the port of call of Monfalcone. The esecutività of the deliberation is subordinated to the positive opinion of the State Audit Court, that it had moreover sped up in the past the overcoming of the current situation of administrative management.

The REEL, than currently is emanation of the Chamber of Commerce of the Venice Julia, has had until now the task to promote the development of the port carrying out a series of service activity, managing areas of property for purpose of harbour traffic and initiatives of advertising character. As a result of the operation, the assets and the areas will be acquired from the managed state Federal property from the AdSP of Mare Adriatico Orientale. The eight dependent of the Special Company will be inserted in the organic one of the AdSP as soon as the provvederà Ministry to approve of a new organic plant.

The AdSP has evidenced that the operation represents an important valorization of the public patrimony allowing to unify the legal regime of management of the areas through the institute of the state property concession, favoring the private investments with a benefit directed on the development of the harbour traffics. Moreover the agency has emphasized that for the port of Monfalcone draft of epochal carrying out that will allow, through the unitary management of the areas, the resetting of the administrative competences and a general synergy with Trieste, to use all totally the potentialities and the energies that for a long time have made of Monfalcone a port of primary importance on a national level for particular types of goods which the cellulose, the cars in policy and the produced ones iron and steel.
