The group greek naval-mechanical Neorion Holdings SA, which owns the company shipbuilding Syros Shipyards and Yachts Neorion, which owns the entire share capital, and Elefsis Shipyards, which holds 70%, said that the latter, because of liquidity problems, presented in the court of Athens instance startup of the conciliation procedure under Article 99 of Law 3588/2007.
Neorion Holdings said Elefsis Shipyards has an operational plan and a proposed restructuring of its debt facing the problem of liquidity and allowing the normal continuation of the company including the enforcement of contracts with the Greek Navy and training activities.Neorion Elefsis Shipyards stated that, based on these plans, will immediately begin negotiations with the government greek, with creditor banks and other creditors in order to stabilize the company's activities.
The site is located in Elefsis Shipyards Elefsis Bay, about 10 nautical miles from the port of Piraeus.
