the Harbour Authority of Livorno delivery to RFI the harbour areas in order to put into effect the connection of the Tuscany Dock to the railway net



Today in the center of the Harbour Authority of Livorno, almost three years from the agreement in order to invest 40 million euros in order to realize a connection directed between the Tuscany Dock of the port and the railway net ( on 1° December 2011), the delivery to the representatives of Italian Railway Net (RFI) of the harbour areas has been carried out on which the new railway infrastructure will be constructed that will be financed by the Tuscany Region with 33 million euros, of which 13 million deep resources EU with Fesr 2007-2013, and from RFI with seven million euro.

They are the 31,900 square metres that the Harbour Authority has delivered to RFI during an encounter to which they have participated the president of the Region Tuscany, Enrico Rossi, and the representatives of the local institutions.
The marine, situated state property area near the side the west of the Tuscany Dock, will come destined to area of yard for the execution of the main work of railway infrastructuring of the port. The project previews the construction of a new feature of line to simple railroad, which electrified and equipped with signaling apparatuses. The railway connection will connect the Tuscany Dock and the future Europe Platform to the Genoa-Rome line in direction north, towards the intermodal centers of northern Italy and the Europe North. It will come moreover realized an ulterior independent railroad of connection between Livorno Calambrone and the station Livorno Porto Nuovo thanks to which it will become possible to separate the destined traffics to this last one from those directing to the Tuscany Dock.
