Last year the traffic of the goods in the port of Genoa is diminished of the -1,0% and has marked a record in the segment of the container



In the 2016 traffic of the goods enlivened from the port of Genoa it is piled to 50,8 million tons, with a bending of the -1,0% regarding 51,3 million tons in the year precedence. The decrease is mainly generated by the reduction of the volumes of liquid bulk traffic let alone by the contraction of the bulk sand banks, while in increase they have turned out the goods several and the produced ones iron and steel.

Last year in the segment of the goods several a volume is enlivened altogether record of 31,6 million tons, with an increase of +2.7% on 2015, year in which era established the precedence record with 30,8 million tons. Such peak is produced by the new historical record in the field of the container marked in 2016 if is counted in tons is in container teu being the totals turned out pairs 22,4 million tons and 2.297.917 teu, with increases of +2.3% and +2.5% on the precedence established records both in 2015. In the section of the goods conventional the traffic has been attested 9,2 million to tons (+3.7%).

Relatively to cargos liquids, the mineral oils are diminished of -7,6% to the 13,9 million one tons and the other liquid bulk is dropped of the -4,3% to 723 thousand tons, of which 241 thousand tons of oils vegetables and wine (- 11.4%) and 482 thousand tons of chemicals (- 0.3%). The traffic of the solid bulk in the commercial field has turned out pairs to 604 thousand tons (- 38.6%) and in the industrial field to 103 thousand tons (- 18.7%), segment in which the traffic of the iron worker has grown of +13.0% to 2,9 million tons.

In contraction also the supplies of fuel and supplies of edge, than last year are diminished of the -10,2% to 963 thousand tons.

In the 2016 traffic of the passengers it has seen to graze the record in the segment of the cruises where passengers are enlivened 1,02 million, with an increase of +19.9% on the 2015 and total that has turned out little inferior to the marked historical record in 2013 with the 1,05 million one crocieristi. The traffic of the passengers of the ferries has been of 2,09 million unit (+4.4%). Altogether last year the passengers have been 3,1 million (+9.0%).

In the solo fourth trimester of the 2016 port of the capital of Liguria has enlivened 12,8 million tons of goods, with a progression of +1.2% regarding 12,7 million tons in the period October-December of the year precedence. The containerized volumes of conventional goods and goods are increased respective of +4.9% and +5.7% to 5,7 million and 2,4 million tons. Down the mineral oils with 3,5 million tons (- the 1.6%) and other liquid bulk with 172 thousand tons (- 0.2%), of which 54 thousand tons of oils vegetables and wine (- 22.0%) and 118 thousand tons of chemicals (+14.5%). In bending also the solid bulk in the commercial field with 99 thousand tons (- 66.5%), while the traffics of solid bulk and iron worker in the industrial segment are increased respective of +39.5% and +6.1% to 22 thousand tons and 723 thousand tons. The passengers of the cruises and the ferries have turned out pairs respective to 296 thousand unit (+18.5%) and 258 thousand unit (+4.9%).
