Triton International, a world leader in the sector
intermodal container charter, has signed an agreement to
buy Global Container International (GCI), a company that as a
Triton has its registered office in Hamilton, Bermuda, and has
offices in Europe, the Far East, Singapore and the USA.
Founded in 2018 by current CEO Jeffrey Gannon
and current Chief Operating Officer Adrian Dunner with the assistance of
investment instruments managed by New York-based Wafra Inc., GCI is
active in the rental of maritime containers and has a fleet of
consistency equal to about 500 thousand TEUs compared to a fleet of the
Triton which amounts to about seven million TEUs.
"This acquisition - underlined the administrator
delegate of Triton, Brian Sondey - represents an excellent
strategic solution for Triton, allowing us to conclude a
significant growth in the container fleet".
